BASIC PC SHORTCUTS
In the following table there are some basic shortcuts that are used in daily work.

It will open My Computer

We have to set the envrionmental variable with path of ipconfig.exe and this is located in the path:-

C:\windows\system32.

We have to locate this in the environmental variable in the path. To locate this path steps are given below:-
1. Right click on the My Computer and select the properties.

2. After click on the properties a window will open. In that window in the left sidebar click on the advanced system settings.
3. After that we have to click on the Environmental variable and then select the path in that window which has open after click on the environmental variables.
4. After click on the path we have to enter this path in that variable:-
C:\windows\system32.
5. After setting this path in the environmental variables  we can successfully execute ipconfig command.

1. USING THE CMD
2. USING THE NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER

1.USING THE CMD :-
(a) Click the start button and open the run or we can open run by WIN+R shortcut.
(b) Type cmd in the run

(c) Type ipconfig command and press ENTER.

(d) After the command ip address will be shown to you.

2. USING THE NETWORK:-
(a) Open the start button and Click on the Control Panel.
(b) In the control panel window select the network and sharing center.
(c) In the network and sharing center window select the change adapter settings in the left sidebar.

(d) Then select the network which have you connected.
(e) After selecting the network click on the view status of the connection.
(f) After that a window will open. In that window click on the details button, that will show us the ip address of the pc.

1. First of all click on start button and then type services in the search field and click on services.A new window of serivces will open.

2. When Services window will open then find the print spooler service and right click that service and click on stop.




3.After stopping the print spooler service go to this path in c drive:
     
        C:\Windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS

In the PRINTER folder delete the queue which you want to delete.


4. After deleting the queue from the PRINTER folder start again the print spooler service from the service window.

1. First of all open disk management system. Right click on the My Computer and click on manage and then select Disk Management.
 

2. After that Right click on that drive from which you want to shrink volume to make free space for make new partition and then click on the shrink volume.
 


3.After click on the Shrink Volume a window that specifies the free space available in the that drive.It will
ask you to enter the amount of space to shrink in MB.


4. At the end which amount of space you will entered in the text field that space will be available for you to make a new drive or add it in the other drive.

 






HOW TO CREATE A NEW PARTITION OR DRIVE

1. First of all to create a new partition open disk management. Right click on My Computer and click on manage then a window will open and after that select Disk Management.
2, Right click on the free space and click on the new Simple Volume.


3.Now after click on the New Simple Volume a welcome page open, read it click on Next.



4.  Now a Simple Volume Wizard Window will open that specifies the minimum and maximum volume that you can specify for the new partition or drive.That volume will be specified in Megabyte. Give the size in Megabyte for new partition in Simple volume size in MB field.After that click on Next.


 5. After that we have to assign a letter to drive or path and after that click on Next.
That drive letter will not available for new drive which is already applicable to another drive. We can assign any letter for new drive but by default window will assigning the lowest letter for that new drive. After assigning the letter to the drive click on Next.

6. After that format partition will be used to determine whether and how should be partition formatted.
If you want to format the partition choose format this volume with following settings. click on Next.


7.After that confirm your option and click on finish.
